The new license requirements implementation date has been moved from Tuesday, January 1, 2019 to Monday, February 4, 2019.
This does not apply to certification candidates. It is for all license candidates including: Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB), Certified Accounting Paraprofessional (CAP), Certified Accounting Analyst (CAA), Certified QuickBooks Advisor (CQA), and Certified Payroll Specialist (CPS).
Beginning Monday, February 4, 2019, license candidates will be required to possess experience to obtain their license.
Currently candidates apply for a license by education or experience as follows:

The new requirements beginning Monday, February 4, 2019 include a one-year or two-year experience requirement as follows:
License by Education with One-year Experience Requirement
License by Experience with Two-year Experience Requirement
The current requirements are in effect until Sunday, February 3, 2019. However, any candidate who: (1) meets the current requirements and applies for the license by Sunday, February 3, 2019 or (2) has or will purchase the License Exam Preparation Program or the Education Alternative courses and exams by Sunday, February 3, 2019 will be grandfathered in and must meet the current requirements and apply for the license by December 31, 2019.
